Customized Schedules

Before the summer, campers, along with their parents, customize their daily programs on the All-Star Maine activities selection form. Kids can participate in a skill-appropriate major sport for up to 2 periods per day. They then select from the list of All-Star Maine skills to complete their activities. Campers are given the opportunity to re-customize their schedules on the first Wednesday of each 2-week session.

Once at Camp

There will be a skills analysis and grouping session with our coaches and counselors. Final schedules will be determined from this analysis. On-going interaction between each camper and his or her counselor will allow for adjustment to the schedules to make sure each child is making progress, having fun, and getting the most out of their structured program.

Superior Instruction

Each activity will start with 20-30 minutes of instruction, followed by an hour-long game against another team of similar ability. In addition, inter-camp competitions are organized each session in many sports for campers wanting to test their newfound athletic skills.

Evening Wrap-up

Staff and campers meet at Evening Wrap-up to recap the highlights of the day and acknowledge personal achievements. Even though we are a non-denominational camp, counselors share insightful life lessons at the end of each day’s wrap-up. Afterward, campers participate in fun activities such as capture-the-flag, gold rush, socials, talent shows, and skills night.

Weekly Trips

One day each week, campers enjoy a supervised trip out of camp to a great Maine destination such as a Portland Seadogs Minor League Baseball game, Funtown/Splashtown USA Water Park, Aquaboggan Water Park, Popham Beach, bowling and other fun attractions.

Intra-session Trips

On alternating Saturdays, children who are staying for our 4- and 6-week sessions have the option of going white water rafting, deep sea fishing, whale watching, or on a similar adventure. These special intra-session adventure trips are not included in the tuition. Please see your camper enrollment packet for details.

Special Programs

In addition to our regular sports programs, we offer an optional Horseback Riding program 3 days a week for 1 hour per session at a beautiful facility, Meadow View Equestrian Center, just a mile from camp. The program teaches both English and Western style riding. Proper riding equipment including helmets, boots, and long pants are required for safety.
